Many visitors and clients of Lumiun ask: How can Lumiun help our company comply with the LGPD ?
This is due to the publication of several articles Personal Data Processing Consent Form template, which has been downloaded more than 3,000 times in the last 3 months alone.
Given this, Lumiun has become a reference in the field, and that's why I decided to write this article to make it clear how we can help your company comply with the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law).
As we know, companies that collect personal data from customers and employees need to adopt certain conduct in accordance with the 10 principles that guide the law in question.
Unfortunately, there is no "Swiss Army knife" tool or software that will solve everything quickly. To comply with this law, in addition to tools, many processes will need to be implemented.
But let's look a little more closely at two very important principles: Safety and Prevention.
LGPD Security Principle

Article 6, item VII of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) establishes the principle of Security , which states: the use of technical and administrative measures capable of protecting personal data from unauthorized access and from accidental or unlawful situations of destruction, loss, alteration, communication or dissemination.
The central idea of this principle is to protect, always in a secure environment, the data of the individuals being processed. To achieve this, security techniques must be used to guarantee the protection of this information.
LGPD Prevention Principle

Article 6, Item VIII of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) establishes the principle of Prevention which states: the adoption of measures to prevent the occurrence of harm due to the processing of personal data.
In a way, this principle is already embedded within the previous one (the principle of security). Even so, legislators chose to prioritize prevention, requiring that the necessary measures be adopted to prevent harm from occurring as a result of the processing of personal data.
How can Lumiun help your company with the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law)?
With a service that helps companies protect devices (computers, cell phones, servers) connected to the internet against cyberattacks, Lumiun can be the solution to comply with the two principles we have just detailed: security and prevention.
The main gateway for cyberattacks on companies is the internet. Therefore, the data of your employees, customers, and the company itself can be vulnerable without a tool to manage and control internet-connected devices and block these attacks.
In addition to creating a layer of security on your network, the website blocking feature helps prevent employees from wasting time or losing focus on personal or unrelated work-related internet activities.
Therefore, if you want to implement a solution that will help your company comply with the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law) and, as a bonus, improve your team's productivity, talk to a consultant or Lumiun demo
