Many Lumiun visitors and customers ask: How can Lumiun help our company comply with the LGPD ?
This is due to the publication of several articles Personal Data Processing Consent Form document template, which has been downloaded more than 3,000 times in the last 3 months alone.
In light of this, Lumiun has become a reference on the subject, and that's why I decided to write this article to clarify how we can help your company comply with the LGPD.
As we know, companies that collect personal data from customers and employees must adopt certain conduct in accordance with the 10 principles that guide the law in question.
Unfortunately, there's no "Swiss Army knife" tool or software that will solve everything quickly. Compliance with this law requires not only tools but also the implementation of numerous processes.
But let's look a little more at two very important principles: Safety and Prevention.
LGPD Security Principle
In Article 6, section VII of the General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD), there is the Security which states: use of technical and administrative measures capable of protecting personal data from unauthorized access and accidental or unlawful situations of destruction, loss, alteration, communication or dissemination.
The central idea of this principle is to protect, always in a secure environment, the data of individuals who are the subject of processing. To this end, security techniques must be used to ensure the protection of this information.
LGPD Prevention Principle
In Article 6, Section VIII of the General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD), there is the Prevention which states: adoption of measures to prevent the occurrence of damage due to the processing of personal data.
In a way, this principle is already embedded in the previous one (the security principle). Even so, legislators decided to prioritize prevention, requiring that the necessary measures be adopted to prevent the occurrence of harm due to the processing of personal data.
How can Lumiun help your company with LGPD?
With a service that helps companies protect internet-connected devices (computers, cell phones, servers) against cyberattacks, Lumiun can be the solution for staying compliant with the two principles we just detailed: security and prevention.
The internet is the primary gateway for cyberattacks on companies. Therefore, the data of your employees, customers, and the company itself may be vulnerable without a tool that manages and controls internet-connected devices to block these attacks.
In addition to creating a layer of security for your network, website blocking functionality helps prevent employees from wasting time or losing focus on personal or non-work-related online activities.
So, if you want to implement a solution that will help your company comply with the LGPD and, in turn, improve your team's productivity, speak to a consultant or request a demo of Lumiun.
