The "Confirmed Purchase" scam is a leading crime in the digital marketplace.
According to the study, OLX and AllowMe mapped the main types of fraud and data on scams in Brazil in 2022. The "Confirmed Purchase" scam leads the list with 57% of cases—a 75% increase compared to the previous year. Following this are: "Fake Ad" (37%) and "Data Theft" (6%), which recorded one attempted data theft per minute in 2022.
