Brazil is now 7th on the list of ransomware targets
A study by Apura Cyber Intelligence, titled "Ransoware on the Dark Web," concluded that Brazil is one of the leading countries in the growth of double extortion attacks against legal entities. The country is the seventh most attacked, behind the United States, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy. The data collected in the study indicate 69 attacks on different types of organizations, with the largest attacks occurring in the healthcare sector (12), manufacturing industry (11), and public sector (7).
